There are few important factors would help you land an English teaching job. One is have a great resume and an intro video. See this comprehensive resume guideline from OETJobs.
Why create a brief intro video (about 2 min) of yourself? A great intro video will expedite the interview process by potentially skipping the prescreening and allow you to present once instead of arranging multiple time consuming pre-screening sessions with all the teaching schools.
What information to present? - personal background in education, where you from, etc. - teaching experience or relevant experience - why would you be a great teacher? i.e., passion for children, subject matter knowledge for business professional, etc
How to present? - Clear articulation and pronunciation - Last but not the least, we all love energetic and engaging teachers who are exciting to take class from!
Recording environment - Well lighten setting - High resolution. The video resolution from smartphone and tablet are good. - Clean background - clear the cluster! - a quiet place - Stability - set the camera on a fixed object instead of letting it wobble by holding on to it during the recording
How to share the video? - The best method is uploading to YouTube and set the video sharing setting to unlisted (instead of public and private) if you want to share with HR, but not to the world, then share the link of the video while you submitting application. - The second option is to store it on your google drive, then share the link of the video while you submitting application.
